Flower Animal
There’s
a group animals living in the sea that aren’t much more than a stomach and a
bunch of arms! You’ve probably heard some of these creatures – the jellyfish is one, and the sea anemone is
another. They belong to the group, we call Coelenterates.
The
sea anemone got its name because it looks so much like the flower
called an anemone. It lives on the ea bed, very often in a warm coral
reef, it spreads out it arms, waiting for a fish or a shrimp to come by. When
the arms touch something, tiny pore nous threads shoot out. The fish or other
small creature is paralyzed by the poison. Then, the sea anemone carries the
creature to its mouth with its arms.
The
jellyfish is a creature that looks rather like an upside-down flower. It body
is like a kind of sea – through umbrella, or sometimes a mushrooms with long
strings hanging down from it. The jellyfish is made almost completely of water.
If you see one washed up on the beach, it looks like a lump of colourless jelly
when it’s dried up by the sun, only
a wet sticky spot it left.

jellyfish swims by opening and closing its body. Each time is closes it s body,
